1. About these terms

The website www.skysoft.edu.lk is operated by SkySoft Education, 16/59, Rafalwatta Road, Yakkala, Sri Lanka (“we”, “us”, “our”). “You” means the person using the website or placing an order. These terms apply together with our privacy policy, delivery and returns policy and payment options. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, No. 9 of 2003, or any other Sri Lankan law.

2. Your account

• You need an account to place an order. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian create and manage the account for you.
• Please give accurate details, including a mobile number and delivery address where you can be reached, and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

3. Products and prices

• All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include any applicable taxes. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout.
• We describe each book, including its curriculum, grade and medium, as accurately as we can. Cover images and sample pages are for guidance and the printed edition may differ slightly.
• Prices and availability can change without notice. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order.
• If we find an obvious pricing or description error, we will contact you before dispatch. You may then proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

4. Placing an order

1. When you place an order we email you an order number. This is an acknowledgement, not yet an acceptance.
2. We reserve the books for you while you pay: up to 2 hours for card payments and up to 72 hours for bank transfer and LankaQR.
3. Your order is accepted, and a contract formed, when we confirm your payment. Unpaid orders are cancelled automatically when the payment time runs out.
4. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a title is out of stock, there is a pricing error or we suspect fraud. If you have paid, we will refund you in full.

For school, institution or bookshop orders in bulk, please contact us for a quotation.

5. Payment

We accept card and mobile wallet payments through PayHere, LankaQR and bank transfer or deposit. Cash on delivery is not available. Card payments are handled entirely by PayHere and we never see your card details. For bank and QR payments, you must upload a valid receipt and use your order number as the reference. See payment options for details.

6. Promotions and bundles

• Promotions apply automatically at checkout when your order qualifies. Only the best promotion your order qualifies for is applied, and promotions cannot be combined.
• Each promotion is valid only for the period and conditions shown, and we may end a promotion early.
• Bundles are sold as a set at the bundle price. If one book in a bundle is damaged or faulty, we replace that book.

7. Delivery

We deliver island-wide by courier. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by public holidays, weather or other events outside our control. Ownership and risk in the books pass to you on delivery. Full details are in our delivery and returns policy.

8. Cancellations, returns and refunds

You can cancel an unpaid order from your account at any time. To cancel a paid order, contact us before it is dispatched and we will refund you in full. If a book arrives damaged, faulty or is not what you ordered, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you. See our delivery and returns policy for how this works.

9. Copyright and intellectual property

All books, sample pages, text, images, logos and other content on this website belong to SkySoft Education or its licensors and are protected by the Intellectual Property Act, No. 36 of 2003. Buying a book gives you the right to use that copy for personal or classroom study. You may not copy, scan, photocopy, reproduce, sell or share our content, in print or online, without our written permission.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the website for anything unlawful or fraudulent, or upload false payment receipts;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the website, other accounts or our systems;
• copy or scrape the catalog or content using automated tools; or
• interfere with the website's security or performance.

11. Limitation of liability

We take care to keep the website accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud.

12. Privacy

We use your personal data as described in our privacy policy, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to an order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms last changed.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it quickly. Any dispute we cannot resolve together falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
